Challenge
A leading multinational in the beverage industry, Martini & Rossi, committed to reduce Scope 1 GHG emissions in its factories as part of its corporate ESG goals. Solar thermal is required to have a dual use and deliver process steam for distilling spirits in summer, while contributing to ambient heating in winter.
Solution
TVP integrates an indirect steam generator to produce low pressure steam at about 4 bar in the hot season which serves directly the distillation machineries. Under the same SCADA, the solar plant also integrates the ambient heating circuit of factory erved in the cold season. This dual operations maximizes solar thermal energy yearly production and overall natural gas & CO2 savings.
